I'm writing from a very cute little hotel in Singaporean Chinatown - the creative hub of the city. Not so much highrises but little colourful 'shophouses' (what we would refer to as terraces). This part of the city is where most of the ad agencies reside as well as the cutest bars and eating hotspots. The weather is muggy, but I'm loving it so far...it's making my hair do crazy things it's never done before!!

 

Most recent learnings:

1) Never EVER pack Listerine next to your hot new MNG skirt. Air tight packaging is not so air tight.

2) ALWAYS check the red light district of ANY city before booking your first night's accom...

 

Today's marketing observation proudly brought to you by (believe it or not!!) my old client MAGGI...Who have introduced these fabulous 'slurpie-esque' mashed potato vending machines. This month's crazy flavour is 'mashed potato with mushroom gravy', conveniently located next to the coke and raspberry flavoured slurpie machines.

 

Love it.

I was so properly typecast today as a "Generation (WH)Y-er" when I informed a few of my old (not in age) work friends that I was going to start a blog and update it with pictures and travel stories instead of sending out the 'oh so nineties' group email. 

 

Besides, most of you know that I am a frustrated writer so this might be a great opportunity to finally get "published"....

 

So as I sit here the night before I am about to run away OS, I'm looking through the amazing pics from Friday's Bollywood Glam night and I reflect on all the amazing people I am leaving behind. I'm going to miss you all like crazy and I hope to see you in the land of 'constant stopovers'.
