It's been a pretty hilarious week in that both Tom and I received awards for lame crap (I won a 'dedication' award for working 13 straight days which included a 48 hour billable weekend as I didn't sleep) and Tom won a 'best field researcher' award for some door to door survey he had to do as part of a P&G training course. We have decided our fridge door is to become a shrine to our achievements. (see pics)

 

Duncan Stevens (who aptly woke up next to a red turban he morning after my farewell do at Tatler) would be proud to know that I had my official Bates initiation last night. It was a 4:30am effort ending at Singapore's Ministry of Sound (MOS for the cool peeps!!) after visiting some 4 (??) bars and playing drinking games started by the head of the Heineken account - best bit of the story is that the drinking game was the same as our afternoon coffee game from GPY&R!! I won it hands down! Love your work Duncs.... xo

 

As you all may have guessed, I have done nothing but work since I said goodbye to W&H who stopped over a few weeks ago. We all had an ABSOLUTE blast during their visit, such a short trip but they both are missed so much. We managed to fit in a great dinner at Min Jiang, one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Duck pancakes are the specialty and boy was there a variety of fillings apart from the usual Hoy Sin and spring onion.

 

Oh and my room has in fact made it back to its' usual status, took some pics to put a smile on everyone's face who may have been concerned that "she's changed so much!"...well I HAVEN'T!

 

BIG thank you to Shan for sending through the MOST amazing care package. I can't believe the gum made it through customs, I'm rationing those babies over the next few months. The tim tams rock, I wear my Socceroos wristband religiously and the pictures have gone straight up on the wall. xoxoxo thank you!!! Our date for chilli sting ray better bloody get locked down soon, I feel myself falling into temptation here...

 

Nothing much else to report back on - it's still 30 degrees outside yet the lizards live inside.

Yes yes as you must know by now I have in fact started work here. I'm working for an agency called Bates and servicing the Nokia account. It's a big one and it seems to be very busy....all the time! The agency is awesome with a great vibe and stacks of nice people! The holiday is truly over but I'm very much ready to get back into the swing of it all. It's just a temp role for the moment so let's see what happens.

 

I think it is time to post up some new pics as mothers day was a few weeks back. Watch this space as I eagerly await the arrival of Woojie and Hec's pics as they were here a few weeks back - we had a blast needless to say.
